Default Need Advice on Used Speakers

OK, I know this is a Polk Audio, and I'll preface this by saying my main HT setup is nearly (all but the sub) all polks - RT800i fronts, CSi40 center, FXi50 surrounds, and RT38i rears.

I have a line on a 5.1 setup locally and was wondering if anyone has anything good (or bad) to say about them. They are Paradigms (all around 10 years old). The set includes four (4) Studio 20 V.2 bookshelfs with stands, one (1) CC-450, and one (1) PDR-10 sub. It looks like a decent setup for a smaller room. I had this in mind for our bedroom to go along with our new 42" Viera plasma, a Samsung BD player, and an old Sony Pro-logic receiver (for now). The seller's asking $350, but was thinking of offering $275 or $300 for all of them. Seems like a decent deal, but was wondering if any members can chime in on the quality and price.

As always, I appreciate the help!!!

For 300.00, that would be an awsome, and I repeat, awsome deal!. I owned the sub, better studio 20's and lesser center channel. All great quality components! but that sub.....It's ok.
I hope you get them for 300.00 or less.

Thanks for the tips Tony! He emailed me tonight and is willing to go down to $275 without haggling at all. I plan on checking them out and listening to them. Pics look like one of the drivers has a flaw... maybe he'll go even lower - Don't really have the funds right now, but sounds like it's too good a deal to pass up. Ughh... how to sneak this purchase past the wife...

good deal @ $275. listen to them first. I ran into a pair of the 20's for $100 over a year ago an turned em down. didn't do anything for me, good bass for a monitor though. But I suspect that the set @$275 is far better than anything new you could get at under $600 and you shouldn't have to much trouble making your money back on them. But, I wouldn't over extend my budget for them if the cash wasn't handy. Just my opinion, go listen and see if you think they're worth it.
