American Idol...old time voice

I usually do not watch American Idol but it was on tonight and my wife was watching it. Being that I just wanted to come home and relax, I watched it with her. Well, I ended up catching this orange or red haired girl sing something. I have no clue what she sang.....but DANG!

She had one of the most unique voices I have heard in a long, long time. Her talent was OK. Not stellar and she could definitely use some polishing up but WOW!! What a voice!

Hearing her transported me back 40-50 years [and I'm not even that old yet] to a different era of singers. She had an "old time" voice that I can't really describe. You just have to hear it.

Steven Tyler voted no but J-lo and Randy voted yes. Apparently she brought a guitar in with her to the audition. For the audition, she did not use it. However, when they asked her to sing something with the guitar? I think Steven about crapped his pants. What a voice. Unlike any other I've heard in quite some time.

It will be interesting how she fairs in the whole American Idol thing. A little more refining to her talent and I'd purchase an album. No doubt.

I had just finished setting up my new Monitor 70ii and TSi CS20 when the wife flipped to Idol. The girl of which you speak was just starting her 1st. song. I agree, she was very good and had a very unique voice! Was in awe when she sang with guitar!

Missed it tonight dammit! ...Working late. One of the few shows I actually like.
