I picked up some CVT Terminator 1 ICs and have a set of the original Shotgun S3 ICs....which do think would make for the better source to amp IC (Marantz SA-KI Pearl SACD to Musical Fidelity A5 Int Amp)?

Whatever sounds better to you.
FYI, I'm not sure if both could be mixed in the same signal chain. AVt MA's and Shotgun S2's in series before and after my preamp gave some odd results.

It would be either or between the two.
Marantz --> ICs --> Musical Fidelity --> Shotgun S2 speaker cables --> Speakers
I suppose on paper having a 100% "Shotgun Loom" sounds right, but the CVT Terminator 1 sits higher up over the original Shotgun S3.
Oh well...guess I have a sound project to look forward to!
Comments still welcomed though.

"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass
