PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
Vancouver, Canada Sept 30th, 2012 - Madonna concert
I used to live and dive there. Those sharks are well tempered. Most "attacks" happen where the water breaks and the shark doesn't know you are human. Also a big no no is wearing jewlery when diving. The cuda's love to hit shinny things. Divers are much safer than the people playing in the waves. Still with that many of them I am not sure how I would feel about swimming with all of them.

Let me tell you something about life, around every corner monsters await. I know, I am one.
If I owned hell and this place, I would rent this place out and live in hell.

Sharks are pretty fun to catch, especially the big ones. Caught a few 7'-8' Bullsharks, Hammerheads (although I call them bycatch - cause they usually eat my Tarpon baits)

I remember seeing a headline a few years back that read "Shark Infestation!" and thinking "isn't that their home?" how are they infesting their own home, maybe it's people infestation instead"

Not funny!Millions of sharks are slaughtered every year just for their fins. The rest of the shark is thrown overboard. A sad waste of life...

Call me what you will, but once the sharks are gone, they're gone forever. Taking a major predator out of the oceans will upset the natural balance of the oceans as well.
IMO, "Jaws" was the single worst thing to happen to sharks. People are still afraid of them because of that movie.
I wonder if anybody ever thinks about taking people out of the world and if the loss of people would upset the "natural balance"?
But, honestly though, I think people are afraid of sharks because, like tigers, they have a pointy end that full of really sharp stuff that they can use to eat your face off of your head. It's a pretty big deterrent to me. So big that I have no problem thumping a shark with an oar when it takes a sideways look in my general direction whilst I remove clams from the ocean floor in my skivvies. Oh, wait, sorry, I should rephrase...upsetting the natural balance in my skivvies.
I think calling me a Nazi is a bit harsh. I was just saying it wasn't funny, and provided a link that demonstrates the seriousness of the problem. But whatever, if you want to call me names for not laughing at an off-color joke about the possible extinction of several species, fine.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.
