I used to listen pretty consistently years ago before the move to satellite. I've tuned in occasionally since then, but haven't found him to be nearly as funny or boundary pushing.

Never did find him funny or entertaining. More so, rude, crude, and a perverted wack job.

Maybe he's like a kid, once he has permission--it's no longer any fun? I like Howard, he's misunderstood I think because he is simply very honest, and has no filter. I think he's about as genuine as a person comes.

FWIW, I think he plays a character that we all know as Howard Stern.
I suspect he probably hangs out with the Pope and the Dalai Lama on his days off -- sans irony.

Used to listen occasionally when he was on broadcast radio - 10 to 15 minutes usually saturated me.
my new car has satellite radio... but I don't even know if I have access to him without paying more(?).

Heck, I remember listening to him when he was on WWDC-FM in Washington, DC. He shook things up in the DC/Baltimore radio market back in the old days...

I found him funny in the 90's, haven't been able to get into him since.

I agree. He is an idiot that argues with people and treats them like crap even when he knows that he knows nothing about what he is talking about.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

I believe the guy who followed him there on the morning drive time was the Greaseman, who I found a lot funnier. Howard was just crude. Greaseman had his own vernacular and made a career poking fun of Ned Beatty.

Used to listen to him...once in awhile when DC101 carried him back in the mid 80s.

The term 'shock jock' seems to fit...a novelty for a bit - then boring.

I listen to him every day. The whole show is a bit like a soap opera that if you haven't been watching you don't know what's going on. The way the "wack packers" are integrated into the show is awesome but if you don't know the characters history it would be hard to follow. I find he makes alot of references to things that have happened in previous shows that i just about choke on my coffee when i remember back to that instance. I love some of Richard and Sals prank phone calls too... radio gold.

One of the pioneers of the morning radio show format that I've grown completely tired of, and quit listening to some time ago. Couldn't stand the Grease. As stations began playing less music, I listened less. First I went all CD, now I just stream Pandora.

I remember one snippet from the Greaseman's days on WWDC; a mock commercial for a lawyer or a bail bondsman...
