    Default My Frankenstein mutt speakers

Maybe this should be in the DIY section. I would like to thank Mike (Face) for pretty much giving me 4 brand new Elemental Designs woofers.

These are a pair of Cannon TLS speakers from around 1984. They were made by ESS. I still have the ESS drivers but they need a refoam. For years I had cheap woofers in the cabinets and other cheap woofer being used as passives.

So now they have the Elemental Designs woofers in the cabs with Polk Audio passives. The tweeters and mids are original. Now I know the woofers are not spec'd to this cabinet. I am "playing" with them right now. But I gotta say so far they seem to sound better than the original woofers and passives...that is from memory though. Guessing the woofers will get better with time (burn-in ).

They look like they would really rock out. What size is the woofer?
