    Default Razer Orca

I just bought a pair of Razor Orca over ear headphones. They sure look cool and the reviews I read said they sound good. Have any of you guys tried them?

as far as gaming they're ok. my wifes younger brother has 3 pairs of razer headphones including these. As far as critical stereo listening, I wouldn't say they're worthless, but they're not good. Average gamers have very different priorities in their headphones, especially in budget cans like these.

I'd compare them to Skulcandy's offerings, only more comfortable and with slightly less clarity (the tI model).

For the price they are good for me. I only use headphones when I am on the subway going back and forth between client offices. So I really don't need a $500 pair of cans.

Usually I wear $50 sony earbuds connected to my iphone but they are really beat up and I wanted to try something else. I like how loud they look.

Oh I see. Well, it'll be interesting to hear your thoughts. I'd be a little concerned with build quality if you're going to be taking them mobile. They're closed back, which is good for public situations, but they have this fake mesh stuff on the back to make the look like open-backs... think what you will about that (I've actually got them in my hands while I write this). Also, you'll want to be careful of this wire suspension. If you're pulling them in and out of a bag, it seems it could bend pretty easily. But I have to say they're pretty comfortable, and the sound isolation from the earcups is ok, too. I just popped the cushions off, and don't recommend it becaus I'm having a hell of a time getting it to seat right, lol. Anyways, the driver is about what I expected for $50-$60 retail. Hope it works out for you.

But if in the future you want great music for near what you paid, look into the likes of Grado, Audio-Technica, Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, etc.
