Another speaker wire thread (and Yes I did use the search button)

So before you stone me for another speaker wire thread, I have done my research and what my needs are should narrow down the possible wire options pretty nice.

Some caveats:

1. I have a budget of ~60 bucks max (I can push it higher if you can provide justification for it) for 30 feet of 14 or 12 gauge speaker wire. I am making 3 10 foot runs of the same wire for my left, right and center speaker.

2. It must be 4 strand wire as I am bi-amping one of my fronts and going to test bi-amping v. not and want to use the same wire for both speakers. With 4 strand either way I am good. I can either connect the 4 strands into 2 for a good high quality regular pair, or break them all out for a bi-amp pair.

3. I would prefer in wall rated since it has a circular outer jacket and I plan to sleeve these cables and add cable pants once I figure out if I am bi-amping or not. Any other cables that have a circular outer shell are options as well

Some wires I am currently looking at are Audioquest Flex 14/4 as well as Canare 4S11 from BlueJeansCable. I am open to other options, but currently have Monoprice cable and am looking to step up a bit from that, so please dont list it.

I plan to terminate the ends with either GLS Black Chrome or Locking Banana?s. I am leaning toward the locking currently as they seem to offer a better hold overall. I am aware BlueJeansCable offers banana's as well, but the GLS ones are a bit cheaper I believe.

So if there are things I should know about either cable (synergy problems, ect), a better cable within my price range, ect please let me know.

My current gear is listed in my sig but my front three may be changing shortly to a pair of Paradigm Studio 40's and the matching center (forget what model number it is).

Between those choices, I doubt that you notice a difference. Pick one and be happy.

FYI, you are not bi-amping as that requires separate amps (as in not sharing the same power supply) and external active crossovers.

Thanks for the heads up. I will more than likely use the Audioquest then since its local and I can have it tonight. Going to probably order the GLS locking banana's today as well.

I am aware that true bi-amping requires seperate amps and external crossovers, but I do notice a slight difference with the way I have it wired now as opposed to just wiring 1 set of RCA's to the amp.

I am more than likely going to do a test connected like I have it now (2 channels per left and right), a bi-wire test and then just a regular test.

Whichever one sounds better will be the one I use.

I have a few cables around from the canare 4s11 and it works well... pretty thick stuff and seems to do the job. Like its been stated though, minimal differences if any should exist so I'd go based on price and availability at this point.

yeah besides being local the Audioquest is 1.25 per foot of Flex 14/4 so its also cheaper per foot.

I am planning on doing 3 10 foot runs just so I dont have to make more cables later. The max size our entertainment center would be is 72" wide so I can have the amp at either end of it and still have extra slack for the Left or Right cable to connect.
