Default Ringo Starr and the All Stars

Recently I bought Ringo Starr and the All Stars concert DVD "Live at the Greek Theater" from 2008. Intially, I didn't expect much but as the concert went on I became pleasantly surprised. The band in this incarnation featured Billy Squier, Edgar Winter, Colin Hay, Gary Wright and Homish Stuart (from AWB). Let me say there is a little something here for everyone. Highlights included Edgar Winter perfoming Frankenstein and a rousing version of Pick up the Pieces by AWB. I have to say the latter was my favorite song in the set. I also have to add that I didn't know Edgar Winter was so multi-talented (sax ???) I had no idea. Definitely a dvd to check out, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.. Makes me want to check out Ringo's other DVD releases. Cheers.

I saw Ringo in 2003, I think. It was a good show, but he didn't play anything off of his newest album(at the time). His lineup at that time had Sheila E. (Man that chick is still HOT), The lead guy from Men At Work, and I can't remember the rest.
I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!

Richard still has a great deal of clout in the music world, he always assembles a fantastic group of players for his tours. BTW,Joe Walsh is Ringo's brother-in-law.

I never knew that Edgar played sax so well either until I stumbled on some things he and Leon Russell did when they toured in the late 80's. It's pretty good stuff.
