Default Amp advice for MMC6500 and db571

I've been out of the car audio loop for about 15 years. I'm in the process of upgrading the factory system in my 02' Ford Expedition. When we bought the truck, the sub was not working and therefore there was absolutely NO bass whatsoever from the factory door speakers.

I purchased the following on Craigslist and Ebay:

    Kenwood Excelon KDC-X794 HU
    Polk/Momo MMC6500 Component Speakers
    Polk db571 5x7 Speakers
    MTX Thunder 240 (200 x 1 bridged mono @ 4 ohms)
    JL 8W0 Subwoofer (4 ohm)

My main goal is to upgrade the factory sound with cleaner mids and highs and provide some bass (not trying to win any SPL competitions).

So far, I've installed the HU, MTX Thunder 240 and JL subwoofer in the factory enclosure. I'm waiting on the db571 to arrive before installing the door speakers.

My main question now is, is there any recommendations on a budget amp ($100 or less) that can power either my door speakers or maybe one amp to drive the entire system and sell the MTX Thunder 240?

Here are a few amps on my local CL. Any of these you would recommend for my current system?

    Kicker 200.2 Amp for $60
    70x2 (4ohms), 100x2 (2ohms), 200x1 (bridged 4ohms)

Total Mobile Audio 360.2 for $70
    110x2 (4ohms), 180x2 (2ohms), 360x1 (bridged 4ohm)

    Eclipse EA4000 for $100 firm
    75x4 (4ohm), 150x2 (bridged 4ohm)

    Kicker ZX350.4 for $100 obo
    60x4 (4ohm), 90x4 (2ohm), 175x2 (bridged mono 4ohm)

TMA 320.4 for $100 obo...also one in the Garage Sale Section for $80 shipped
    60x4 (4ohm), 80x4 (2ohm), 160x2 (bridged mono 4ohm)

    Thanks in advance,

    Michael

I would look at either the Eclipse of the Kicker 4 ch amp. I would also look at sealing your front doors if you haven't done that. It will improve your mid bass up front by a big margin.

Keep the mono amp for the sub. 200 watts will be plenty for an 8" sub.

Just curious, are the TMA's no good? I think I read they are made by JL Audio. I've been out of the loop for so long, I no longer know what brands to look at. In the early 90's, the main brands were Rockford Fosgate, Alpine and Soundstream amps, JL and Kicker Comp subs and MB Quart and Kicker mids/highs.

My system as a teen was pretty basic...Sony HU, EQ (don't remember the brand) and a Rockford Fosgate Punch45 pushing a pair of Cadence 12's. My Pioneer mids/highs were just powered by the HU.

So the whole multi-speaker/ multi-amp system is new to me. I would prefer to have one amp to power the entire system if that would work ok. I have limited space under the 2nd row seat where I have the current MTX amp.

I don't know about TMC so maybe someone else will chime in on this.

If you want to run only one amp here are your options.

    1. Use a 5 ch amp, 2 ch's to the front components, 2 ch's for the 651 and the mono channel for the sub.

    2. Use a 4 ch amp, 2 ch's to the front comps, bridge the rear channels to run the sub and run the 651 off the hu.

That second option sounds like a great option.

When you say "seal your doors", are you talking about Sound Baffles like the ones on Crutchfield?

No, he's talking about deadening products like Dynamat, Second Skin, Raamat.
