Are you trying to stream using media player. If so, have you set media player to stream and allow other devices to control media player? If your using media player and are not aware, its a matter of two checkmarks in a dropdown menu in media player. If you are aware, disregard this.

I know you're posting about the 83, so I'm not sure about the DLNA feature of it. I do know that it does not support wireless, so you'd have to use a gaming bridge or go direct. The 93 (which I've got) - comes with a wireless USB, and I have succesfully streamed video from my PC. Not sure if the streaming capabilities have changed between the 83 and 93, but at least I can vouch it works on the 93.

Thanks Glowrdr, I was on Oppo's site and was reading about the 93. I think I will buy the 93. Have you streamed flac files?

Streaming from the 83 is possible with certain firmware revisions and it works with the latest ver. if I am not mistaken. There is a thread dedicated to this over at AVS. I think it takes some "jumping through hoops" though and was an afterthought in response to customer requests. It was/is primarily developed for the newer Oppo's though. Honestly, I have never given it a try.

You just want to make sure that your pictures and video are in an active share directory that the player can see. What software are you using on your PC to share?

I use Eyeconnect which may be Mac only but you will want to find a DLNA server for your PC.

Reno - Yes, you can stream FLAC. I've got about 90% of my music in this format because that was the best option for my squeezebox. I think you will find that the Oppo can decode just about anything you will throw at it. I guess the only thing that I really don't have any experience with is some of Apples propriatary formats that are purchased via iTunes.
I'm just using Windows 7 Pro (64-bit) and media player. I can see all of my files from my TV, Oppo, receiver and Dish 922. I think I'm set. lol
