Keystone binding post inserts?

I plan to connect the backside using the set screw and the front side with nanas.

What length of wire should I strip? Not sure if it should be just enough to set with the screw or a little longer.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also posted in the speaker forum but have not received a response. I would like to get these connected today so I can put everything back in its location making the wifey happy

Length is not critical as long as it goes into hole and the set screw can take a good bite so connection is firm. Should treat the wire with something like pro-gold to avoid oxidation. If you don't have any you can go back later and clean wires with deoxit or strip a little more off and then treat. Some like to tin their ends with audio grade solder.

Thanks outfitter. I'm new to this type connection and was afraid if I if put the wire to deep then the nana would not fit on the other side. I guess the nana and speaker wire do not have to be in direct contact?

I personally have not put these together, just checked the picture out on BJC. Usually these type of connectors are made of brass and the set screw applies enough pressure to the copper speaker cable to ensure a good connection to carry the signal. The signal is conducted through the brass connector to the banana plug on the other side. If you still have concerns, posting a couple closeup pictures of the connector would help.
