    Thumbs up Game of Thrones on HBO

    Surprised there's no thread on this. Started last night, a fantasy based on a series of books by George R.R. Martin. Dastardly deeds done by kings, lords, knights and chicklets, a little magic, lots of despicable characters, lots of sex and violence/gore and it's an epic tale (actually). Pilot was exceptional, follows the book very well. I never actually enjoyed the books all that much due to the authors style of jumping from one storyline to multiple others then going back 200 pages later. The guy needed an editor with balls...sold milliions anyway. The series seems a better way to absorb the story...and it's big.
