    Default Question of volume level - PC - Dac - amp

    ...Should the volume on your pc be at max when sending signal to your external DAC and then to preamp???

    My setup:

    Albumplayer software - asio4all - digital out from sound card - to B&K pro10mc preamp

    Isn't the volume slider bypassed with asio4all?

    I used to leave it at max.. but, for example, mine is at 0% right now (I'm using WASAPI) and I am listening fine (no difference)
