Watch yourself John. You and I both are teetering pretty close to the end of that chart:tongue:

What always kind of gets me is when I half my current age and think what I was doing at the time.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Half my current age? I was 16 years old and spending a good deal of my time hacking in to BBS boards to steal smut for friends who didn't know how to do it themselves and installing stereo systems in their cars because I was the only one that knew how to solder properly.

And yeah. Star Wars was released before I was born. Only by about a month and a half but hey, details are details.

You really want to feel old? Pirates of the Caribbean:Curse of the Black Pearl was released on my birthday 8 years ago. I remember it vividly. I was in the theater waiting for "Bruce Almighty" to start and the previews came on for what, at the time, was the coolest movie preview I had ever seen. I sat like a 6-year old, mouth agape, in awe at the spectacle before me. I can only assume that the silence in the theater meant everyone else was equally impressed. Then the release date came on the screen. I couldn't help myself. I said, not really loudly "That's my birthday!" but because of the silence in the theater, everyone heard it. It was...esoteric.

I was 4 when Star Wars came out. The first movie I remember seeing in a theater is Superman 1978 I was 5.

American Graffiti, Shaft in Africa and Westworld were released the year I was born. 1973

"The Little Mermaid" is a poor example for the last one, I had no idea when that was released and I'm in that group. "Die Hard", "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", or even "Heathers" would have made much better choices.

So many youths! I saw Star Wars in Manhattan while I was in school there. But then again...some of us don't have to worry about 'age'--we merely grow wiser and younger? lol

Someone who is 35 or younger worried about getting old is just a tad humorous.

Star Wars was the first movie I saw in the theaters. My mom and dad went to see it when my mom was pregnant with my sister and I.

Let's see... I can remember seeing Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines in its original theatrical run. By Randall Munroe's reckoning, I am probably already dead - and certainly of no further consequence to the gene pool at large :-)

Who needs a list of movies to feel old when you can just watch your own kids grow up? Mine isn't even a year old yet but it already has me thinking about all that potential us grown ups talk about and where all mine went.
