Nice man! I'm getting really jealous. If I had any money I'd be all over one. It may very well be what I use my xmas commission for. :)

That's a gift from SVS to enjoy 5.1 surround sound using Nvidia SoundStorm nforce2 chipset. :p. Hey just kidding.
Its my new motherboard that I bought to have a true digital out for my computer rig. My audigy sound card always outputs a linear PCM signal thru digital out even though the source is 5.1 encoded.
I just finished watching Two Towers and i must say the bass is so deep, clean & tight that it blew me away. I was listening to the George Michael: Ladies & gentlemen DVD and the clarity of the bass left me surprised.
People looking for a good investment in a sub should go for pb2+.

See Malik is harder to impress because he is already jaded by his 20-39PCi. But even HE was blown away by the power of the PB2+ on movies and the accuracy on music. Bravo SVS.

Is malik planning on parting with his PCi? If so I think I could find a home for it ;-)

And which MoBo did you get? Did you splurge? P4P800? Just curious.

No man. i can't part with SVS subs. it cannot go out of my home. I'll be heart broken. The only way to get the sub out of my home is to steal it.

Its a Asus A7N8X deluxe and i purchased an additional bracket for two SPDIF out (optical & RCA) that will connect to my two receivers (one computer rig receiver & other HT receiver to listen online streaming audio on my HT rig).

that bord has the n-force chipset on it and has dd 5.1 outs. i got the msi n force bord with the fire wire, and the digital out and the sata. but the sata is not as good as the p4 bords. it still runs on the ide bit modifyed to work with sata drives. the next gen will be sweet and then i will get a 10k sata drive.

i think you have to add eather 5 to 10 db to your readings for the ring drop sene over what you reed on the meter.

Good call here. I keep meaning to buy a SPDIF bracket for my MSI but keep forgetting.

But screw computers, lemme emphise again how jealous I am of your new sub. That thing is awesome. I want to get an SVS based solely off what I hear and read about them. But then I have to remind myself that my sub sounds dang good and I don't have a reason to upgrade.
