Not sure if I'd agree with the "smart" part.
Perhaps if the owner of the (possibly) Porsche American Roadster had spent a little time looking at the weather forecast, he might have ..... well .... driven the Porsche to higher ground before the river rose ?

Looks like an early 90's American Roadster. Pretty rare Porsche.

If it was me my 2.3's would be on a raft as well.

    very nice house indeed.

tell me, when the water subsides, won't he has a much more expensive bill, to check on the water erosion damage on the house's foundation?
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

It has a wrap around deck. He obviously planned for this much water frontage. He's gonna chill on the deck and enjoy the lovely river/ocean he lives in. Maybe even hook a sail up to the raft and "drive" around in the Porsche.

Not sure if it the roadster, the windshield doesn't look round enough. In either case that is awesome. Smart thinking, probably why he has a Porsche and I have a VW Golf.

    Very clever!

I spoke to one of my co-workers who has seen the house firsthand, and he said it sits up a lot higher than what it looks like in the Google Earth image. So one can surmise that the access road through the marina got flooded before he could get the Fly Yellow Cab out, so enter the flotations devices. Well played sir, well played.

Agreed and it seems to be well designed in the advent of such natural disaster.

Based on the design of that house, he prolly planned ahead, and painted the exterior with a 2 part epoxy paint, like what they paint ship hulls with.

Yeah the closer pic is a bit easier to tell. I think they had the turbo bodywork on a normally aspirated motor. Not many were made at all. Probably why he is going to such lengths to save it.

Per the article it is not only 1 of 250, but the ONLY one in that color. Rare indeed!
