    Default New question...

My father is currently running a Sony ES STR-DA3ES receiver (my old receiver) a Sony DVD Player, Polk Audio RM6600 series satellites and center, a 55" Mit. widescreen and a cheap ass KLH powered sub. My question is, I gave him one of the PSW 450's, according the Polk they highly recommend hooking up the Polk way, via speaker inputs and outputs. I was wondering should I do it the Polk way or should I just get a sub cable and go from the sub out on the AVR to the LFE IN on the 450. What would I gain/lose from one to the other. Thx.

You need to change your "Subs" to "Sub", less anyone think you were insane enough to order two of those monters.

If you go the sub cable method, you will need an xo capability of around 150 Hz to avoid a midrange dip in the frequency response.

I would choose the sub cable method for ease of connection.

The STR-DA3ES has the XO capability to use the value mentioned by Dr. Spec
