    Default Adcom amp repair tech

I don't need one right away but do any of you know of a technician or shop that you would send your Adcom to for reconditioning or just repair. Does anyone on CP work on Adcoms? Thanks.

ben62670 does Adcom stuff and a lot of other things besides. If I were going to refresh my Adcoms that's who I would ask; if he has the 'time'? He's one of the good guys!

I have not used Angelfire, but I looked into Adcom renovations last year and discovered them.

I used them last year and they are reputable and incredibly nice.

Thanks for the recommendations. I have several pieces of "vintage" Adcom gear including 5 power amps and 4 preamps and I'm interested in whether or not a complete renovation would improve their sound. I doubt it would but I'd be willing to have one done just to satisfy my curiosity.

just as a coincidence while trying to answer your post I received a call from Adcom's main officei in A.Z.My question was definativley answerd by them telling me the exact model I have was made for rack mounting only. The only way would to gut the front which houses the on/off rocker and the clipping l.e.d. s.Now for your question he said there was a service store called Affiliated Electronics in N.J. Thats' AS far as I got, w/ many unreturned calls. Makes me hope this tank of an amp last longer than I do....
