I keep hearing it is gonna be bad down your neck of the woods.

    Keep safe,

Luckily I am well north of Trenton so I should be OK. (He says with his fingers crossed)

Remember, just click your heels together and you'll be back with auntie Emme in no time.

Got about marble sized (and slightly larger) hail in central MA. Springfield hit bad. I'm 1.5 hours East of there. Tornado reported about 15 minutes North of us. Lots of lightning. Another storm about to hit in about 30 minutes. Electricity out. Hope the UPS lasts. Joy.

Not really worried though. The few tornadoes we get around here tend to be small. The one in Springfield did flip cars and tear some roofs off though.

Stay safe all in this region.

Are you sure they didn't brave you?

There's no such thing as a "small" tornado. That's about like saying "don't worry, it's a small nuclear bomb".

I was referring to the Fujita scale:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fujita_scale

And nuclear bombs have Megaton rating for intensity.

Of course if a tornado occurs directly over your house then the size becomes less relevant. So far the news is reporting 4 people dead. There's lots of damage in Springfield:

    http://boston.cbslocal.com/photo-gal...massachusetts/

Just had a ton of really bad lightning too (~9:30). All quiet now. No damage around my house as far as I know.

I don't know how it was in south Jersey but central Jersey was clear all night. Not a drop of rain in my area at all.

I was hoping for the rain so my allergies would calm down a bit. This stupid sinus headache is really annoying.

Yeah, that'd be nice. Everything has the yellow halo again. Pine trees must be pollinating.

Doesn't look like much relief in the near future though. No rain on the forecast except "scattered showers" which really means "we ain't gettin' poop". Farmer's Almanac isn't any better. No real rain through July:

August is always dry here as well. Guess the lawn is going pre-maturely brown again this year.
