    Default new to me nad751

I just received my nad751 from vintage hifi .Here is my question, It runs 60 watts I also have the adcom7300 at 60 watts. Can I run the power from both to get 120 watts? Or do I just run one or the other? If I use y splitters in the receiver pre outs does that run the power from both?

You might want to consider the speaker choice before deciding on an amp. Nad makes very good amps, however so do other manufs. Your amp should compliment the speakers and your like in music - NAD is fine for true sound and high headroom - what size amp is needed to properly drive your speakers?? If they are bookshelf, 100w may be fine. If they are floor standers, 8 ohm or 4 ohm and what power will drive them for the music you like? Buying an amp is like many other things - how are you going to use it??

I have a set of monitor 10s and a set of 7s.I hope to pick up another set of 10s soon.I will try the receiver by itself for a couple weeks and then try my amp for a week or so and see if I like that better. If I need to add more power I will start looking for a a larger amp. This is for music only.Maby I just have upgradeitus. This is allot of fun for me, more is better isn't it?

Dan, it's not that what you asked is bad. It just doesn't work that way.

decal , Ill get it sooner or later, once I dive into something I have to figure it out.I have been reading here and the links others have recommended to me.Sometimes it just takes a while to sink into my thick head. But I am if nothing else, persistent. I wont let it go until i do get it!Like I said I'm having fun and if it costs a few bucks that's o.k.My kids are grown, bills are payed and dad has a little funny money to play with.Isn't that what its all about.
