Pioneer Elite Vsx-35tx receiver

Have a person locally who is looking to sell his Pioneer Vsx-35tx for $350....I have been looking for a god receiver with pre-outs and new enough to this stuff to not know if this is a good deal or even a good receiver...read some reviews and seems fine....input?

Isn't that receiver roughly 10 years old?

I just did a google search and read that someone paid $550 for it back in 2002.

$350 sounds way high if that is the case.

That's about $225 too high. For a tad more than that, there is a very nice Onkyo in the FM right now.

Hmmm... I agree, seems a little high. Maybe a little out of your range but check this out - http://unitedonlineshopping.com/pielvsrevsfc.html - and I'm sure if you call they can maybe bring the price down, check their ebay auctions, a lot of them have 'make an offer' options.
