Used to sing that in high school during outings, a year or two before we were eligible for the lottery. A bit cynical, but a lot of truth in it. Anyone who studies history would know that the Vietnamese dislike of the Chinese meant there's no way the domino effect would occur.

Lost alot of good people, including my first cousin.

    I like the Woodstock version!

    My number was 85.

Very appropriate vid, Mike. Don't know why, but the thought that patriots come in many sizes, shapes, and colors comes to mind. Just a thought.
Glad to see that apparently asking questions like "Why ?" or "How come ?" isn't considered as treasonous as it once was.
Measure once, measure twice, measure thrice, then re-measure again before cutting is sometimes wise, very very wise.
Speaking of speakers cables, of course.

    Or, as an alternate:

I especially enjoy the "The people are losing their minds!!" part.

    73 for me.
I got my pre induction physical notice two days before Dick ended the draft.
    Burned it and my card.
Spent the next three months drinking any hanging out on Venice Beach.

Yea...even though there was a lot going on,things seemed a lot looser when compared to today. Sign of the times I guess, but it was pretty cool to be part of all that..good with the bad!

"Well, there's things that never will be right I know,
And things need changin' everywhere you go,
But 'til we start to make a move to make a few things right,
You'll never see me wear a suit of white."

... took some nuts for Johnny Cash to write/sing this song back then.
It would seem that back then, though, the loss of prestige wasn't quite as important as it now appears to be.

"Up front there ought 'a be a Man In Black"

Yep. Up front. Right up front.
In just about any theater, the best seats are right up front.
Stage center, where you get to experience things up close and personal.
It would be good for folks arranging the plays to experience the results of their play calling up close and personal.
    In theater. No remote viewing.
In theater. Up close and personal.
