    Default Frankenstein's sub

Hello to all the Polk members! I'm new here, but have owned Polk speakers for a long time.
I have a question that I'm sure will raise several eyebrows. I own a set of RT8's that I bought new in about '96 and use R10's for my rear speakers. I am on a search for a PSW150 sub, but realize that may take a while to fulfill. So, I want to use some of my old car stereo stuff to fill the gap.
I have a Sony XS-L1030 sub speaker and an Alpine 3542 amp sitting in my basement. The amp was installed in my RX-7 back in the day, and the speaker is brand new. (I have no idea any more how I got the speaker.) What would it take to marry these two together and create a usable sub until Craigslist or Ebay comes through with a PSW150? (Or, does anyone have a working PSW150 that I could purchase cheap? I'm between good paying jobs.) Thanks everyone, hope I can contribute to some discussions here!

Might want to add your location. Shipping on a sub would be pricy I would think. IDK enough to comment on your question though.
