    Default 7 channel Amps

I am powering my RTi12s with my Elite, "Bi-Amping" using the front and SB outputs.

Can I do the same thing with a 7 channel amp?

The amp is 100wpc x7. I figured giving the top three drivers 100 watts and the bottom three drivers 100 watts would be better than giving all six 100 watts.

You won't actually get double the power. The mids and tweeters won't draw even half the power the bass drivers do.

If you really feel you need more power, you would be better off just getting a 200 watt per channel amp, and skip the bi-amping.

You don't necessarily need a 7 channel amp. A good 200 W/channel 3 channel amp for the front sound stage would be an improvement. Let the receiver handle the surrounds.

The sound from the RTi12's will definitely improve using a good external amp.

Bi amping is used when you put an active crossover in-between the avr or preamp and your amplifiers. That way you can control what frequencies go to witch part of speaker. Doing it with an avr is a gimmick. Most of the time your actually doing more damage than good. By turning on the rear sb terminals your taking power away from the other speakers in your system.

This is all you need, act fast. Let the Pio handle the SB speakers. This should last you forever and drive those 12s up the wall.
