"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass

Edogg = LSiM707(CA)
Strider = LSiM703(MD)
Dcmartinpc = LSiM703(MI)
I believe they're going from Strider to Schwarcw in PA next...haven't worked out the next shift with the others yet. You're welcome to them after Carl if you two can work out a handoff.

Dan, depending on when I actually get them. I could hand them off in State College, PA on a non football Saturday. I don't know exactly where you are located. State College is the middle of the state. Open for suggestions!
I am going to schedule a demon here in Pittsburgh when the schedule becomes clear when I will have them.

Donald - Get with Mantis when they hit your area....or another demo person who gets them in-house. There will be a handful of Jersey/New York ppl getting these.
Mark,
Can you put me down for the 703's in the Midwest demo? Don't know who has them after Don.
Thanks

Yes , I'm just north of Philadelphila in Lower Bucks county.It's 25 minutes from Center City. I'm right on the border of New Jersey and Pa about 5 minutes from the Burlington Bristol Bridge.
When you get them and finish your demo , let me know I can host a Pa , Nj demo. I have a Store and my house we can use. So if this all works out , Phil and anyone else who is close by is very welcome to get a LSIM demo.

I'd be very interested in this as well...not sure I'd be able to make it though. It would depend on the timing. As some of you know, I'm originally from Eastern Pa. and still have family there so I drop down from Lobster country a few times a year.
In any case, as Doro said, this is a 'great' idea--an ultimate showdown/demo. Plus, I've been wanting to drop in on Dan's shop for quite some time.

Excellent, thanks!
Any chances of either 703's or 707's making it to the deep south. I am in Memphis, TN. I don't ever see many polkies from this area but had to throw it out there to see if anyone would be hosting something down this way or I could host something. I probably could travel 2-3 hrs in all directions if needed.
I'm interested in attending a demo for the 707's. I can drive down to SCompRacer or up to Leroy's or host a separate demo (if my equipment list meets the minimum requirements) for the NW Chicagoland area Polkies. Kegerator is always cold....

The 707 won't happen for months unless I get the pair from CEDIA.
So this will most likely just be 703's. Would love to hear the 707's but really I'm more curious about the bookshelf model. If they can outperform my old B&W's count me in for a pair!
Any updates on a possible NJ/PA LSiM demo?
Anyone done a LSi9 (stock and modded) vs 703 comparison review?
FWIW max, when I demoed them against my modded 25s, the performance was similar. Sure, the bass is a different story, but as far as the HF section goes, it was interesting. The bass out of the 703s is unreal though (in a good way). I'm looking to see some modded 9s vs the 703s too![]()
I don't think they sound anything like the older LSi. More accurate, better bass, more kick.
