What kind of 75 watts are we talkin' ? 75 watts from a 300 buck receiver,or 75 watts of tube power ? There's a big difference. Also are these going to be in a HT or 2 channel system ? If a HT, I highly doubt your avr is anywhere near 75 watts in 5 or 7 channel mode.
Regardless, keep the volume at a reasonable level until you can feed them some solid power.

Def not a tube. Its a 75wpc Denon AVR-391. Nothing special, but does have discrete amps. I think it should be ok until I can upgrade a little later.

That is a great deal! Are they cherry or black? Just take it easy on the volume until you can properly power them.
