My M20's always semed to sound to harsh to me. Wondering about a tweeter and or crossover upgrade. Any suggestions? Any specs as to existing crossover design?

Yeah I could just spend 200+ dollars on speakers I don't need or $100 or so to get these to sound better, maybe even better than the supposed better speakers if I get the right components...Great idea!
Or, you could scour craigslist and find used gear for the same price....Great idea!
Throwing money at a budget speaker isn't the answer, no matter how appealing it may sound.

Unless you want the experience of working on speakers, I agree with the others. You should be able to find a pair of TSi 100s for about 150.00 brand new. No harshness on those puppies.

I don't know about the M 20's but if you're getting "harsh" sound the problem might not be the speakers, Could be operator error.
You have not disclosed enough information to recommend any move for any equipment upgrade.
What kind of power are you using?
Stereo or what?
Got the treble up too high?
You're not using a HTIB receiver are you?
Maybe you're clipping your equipment.![]()
