I need to re-run RG6 from the splitter outside on my sat dish....so this is an exterior app. I know I need the compression F-type connectors for this, but what about shielding....dual or QUAD preferred?

Quad shield is best. The proper name will be RG6QB or W depending on color B for Black and W for white. Try and find a good quality copper coax design cable.
