Polk SR5250, SR104, C300.2, Arc Audio DXE and Tru SSLD6i

Find out if your car's door skin, door depth AND plastic door trim/grill can accept the size differance (i'd start at your car specific forum) and if all is good simply cut out yout door's skin to make it work with 6.75''.

My car works with 6.5'' but apparantly not with 6.75'' which is what SR6500 really is.

Here's size differance of 5250 and 6500





and here's my door's speaker opening and sr6500 mounting bracket, you can see that openings is a bit less then needed.



I've marked what i need to cut off with red marker and dremeled it all out

The sr6500 are better than the sr5250 and are worth more
I paid alot for them twice what I would of paid for the sr5250, I just really want to hear the sr6500 :)

I'm glad you are convincing yourself of that. The 6500 is worth more because it is more desirable, but better? Perhaps, but not twice as good. I can't pass judgment since I haven't heard the 6500's, but I imagine it to boil down to each one having different strength's. A larger woofer will go lower and that's what most people want.

I personally haven't heard either but general I like how the 6-1/2 sound over 5-1/4 but that was before I got subs and on the sr im going on what people say and there reviews most of them like the sr6500 better and pay more for them around 600 while the sr5250 go for 250-300 in really good condition i

DXE took the longest to sell but yes, it is sold now.
