    Question Receiver hunting blues

I'm pretty sure I've read every review, forum post and feedback for the following receivers I'm looking to upgrade my Onkyo TX-NR606 with. Thinking I would have chosen one by now, I'm feel more unsure than before on which one to get.

    Onkyo TX-NR609
    Denon AVR-1912
    Pioneer VSX-1021-K

I like my Onkyo and would be willing to try another brand or another model than the ones listed above. Speaker setup in my sig. Features I'm looking for are:

    $500 limit
    Pre-Amp capabilities
    90% Home Theater use
    Zone B capabilities
    Room setup assistance
Airplay would be nice but I already have an AppleTV
    Best BANG for your buck.

Any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Why not an Onkyo TX-NR709

It has pre outs, k4 upscaling, audessy, and networking.

It is a refurb and is 29 dollars over you budget. You can get an extended 3 year warrenty for 44 bucks.

Or you can get the older TX-NR808 wich has 135w instead of the 110w. It wont have 4k upscaling though.

The 709 is looking tasty. With shipping and warranty, I'm looking at just under 600 bones.

I think its good for the money .I really miss the sound of onkyo with martin logan speakers compared to the pioneer elite I have .Onkyo for the 07's and up really have an underestimated analog preamp section in too and no one ever gives credit to that .I think the 09 series look beautiful and reminds me of high end anthem gear

If you go with the 709 then let us hear your thoughts
