Yamaha - 675W 5.1-Ch. A/V Home Theater Receiver Model: RX-V371
The yamaha would probably be better.
I really do not like the tone of my Yamaha RXV-1700. When I was using it as a pre/pro and amp, and even now that the fronts are powered by a B&K, I finf the sound to be very thin on the low end (even with the bass jacked to +6db and tweaking the eq) and a tad bright. I wish I could get it out of the chain as it is really holding my system back, but it will have to wait.
-------------[The Ever-Evolving System -------------
LSI15's (PNF Symphony cabels, modded X-Over and subs), LSIC, LSI7's, Rega Apollo CDP (PNF ICON ICs, modified PS cct.), Yamaha RXV-1700 w/ ipod dock, B&K REF200.2 (fronts) Samsung BDP-1600, XBOX360, Patriot Box Office Media Player, 42" Samsung LCD.
