    No, the TV looks fine but you really need a Bigger room to hear those big polks correctly. You need a good 36" extra on each side between the polks and the walls.

    Your room is much better than mine but your placement could not be worse for an SDA. I bet they still sound fantastic.

    Here is my room and it is all bad. To close together at 5'8" and to close the side walls at 2'6". Sheet goods on concrete for the flooring. Heavy, rubber backed, black out curtain. Lowes rug and dog beds for the room treatments. Rent house so not many options.

    might have to bite the bullet and pair this monstrosity with a pair of vintage Polk Audio Monitors (although, truth be told, I am thinking about the HPM-1100s as being somehow more apropos).

    It spent much of its life in the vicinity of White Plains, NY... (it was my in-laws')
    as I recall, the manufacture date stencilled on the back is 1949; does that sound about right
