    Yes they were (sold in the US). Pretty good? Many folks like them; I am not one of them - de gustibus non est disputandum.

    In the interest of disclosure, I do have a pair of the somewhat later HPM-1100s that was given to me. I refoamed the very nicely made (JBL-esque) woofers and tested the speakers with a vacuum tube amplifier (Dynaco SCA-35) and they weren't bad at all. Much better than the HPM-100s as far as I am concerned.

    ^ Is that a wall mount cabinet for receivers n such? Nice setup. Great for me to camp out and watch movie all day.
