Now I can start looking for the 20 plus, this one may end up with my son.

I had a post a month ago about a Model 19 I was trying to buy, I wasn't able to get the 19 but couldn't stop thinking about it. I called a guy about some DCM's and he had this 20, I just had to have it. Its a very cool looking piece of stereo eq.

Congrats, but correct me if I'm wrong...aren't the Model 19s actually a much smaller speaker than the 20s which are basically Model 17s?

As for the Model 17s, I have a pair, courtesy of a veteran Polkie and they are 'fantastic' bookies from that time period. Your son will enjoy them. Looking at some 6s locally.

And the Dynaco A25s arrived yesterday, they seem to be in decent shape. Need to clean the woofers though--paper drivers so not sure what to use. Sorry for the digression there.

    Nice score, Cayuga!

    Believe it or not dep't:

Conservators use bread (firm French type, sans crust) to clean oil paintings. It has been recommended for cleaning paper speaker cones as well. You could look it up! :-)

EDIT: urkey-durkey, I looked it up for you
    http://www.biddingtons.com/content/m...npainting.html

the speaker cone application was reported in a restoration article in (if memory serves) Affordable Audio on-line magazine a few years back. AK member Tom1356 (who knows his vintage speakers, big time) was the author - not that I can recall his real name...

EDIT^2: Tom Goulet. Silly me :-P

The 19 has a much smaller speaker but deliver some nice sound, I'm happy to have the 20's, things worked out great.
