Default EV Monitor Setry II speaker question?

The hook ups for these speakers are two screws like really old speakers had. No possitive or negative labels. Should I hook up to the screw that says 16 ohms to possitive and Common to negative? Also both speakers look identical but one says sentry II A and one says sentry II one is 8 ohms and one is 16 ohms... As I said before ,These came out of a church system. as always thanks,Darryl

They are obviously different revisions of the same model. Those are PA speakers which means hound will vary, but will also mean they will take quite a bit of power to drive.

    Yes, com is always neutral/negative.

Correct, but I'd be cautious pushing them hard. I probably doesn't matter with a robust amp, but you're putting a strange load on it. I might be wrong and it doesn't really matter, so I might be a weirdo , I don't like to give out bad info
    Huh? Wot?? Dig it

Where can I get me some??

    Default Great little speakers

Those EV speakers were used in many radio stations and recording studios for monitors. Not a bad sound for a 12" + horn.
    The bottom is a port.
    Thanks
PS: try to find a little Fisher 30 watt tube amp to work with them. It will have impedance taps.
