    Nice woodworking!

I don't have much spare time, but did build this heavy plinth out of Baltic Birch for my Lenco turntable while on vaca a couple months back. Finishing in progress.

I have to keep working on downsizing my hoard. That is my free time thing I'm supposed to concentrate on. It's a rollercoaster ride of sales and acquisitions back in but here's the hobbie past time of years past that I still have a TON of desire to do. Carving wood spirits is very cool. I've yet to do one.

Woodworking hooby was one...Tables and cabinets. Outdoor folding Andirondak chairs.
You know those scroll worked valance things that are on porch coloum top corners. I love doing those on a band saw!

That was before I broke my heel bone building my wood working building. Last piece of large plywood to place on porch roof.

Now, yard saleing sometimes..pawn shopping alot.

Over Twenty years time line.....Home maintenance and upgrading windows to name a major thing I did myself only on my own home and property. It was built in 1952. It is so easy with the right tools and knowlege. And fun! really was.

Done alot to this place in 24 years.
Rearranged the floor plan by moving walls, doors, and plumbing. The sink and stove are in their original spots. That's about all, oh, my master bedroom had a small alclove built outof the room house the door swing direction from hitting a dresser space. It enlarged the useful space from the room's true perimeters, corner to corner could now be used.

I added a second bathroom in the back here in the third bathroom space. I also put a laundry room and water heater spot in there too. Where the tub would normally go, I left it out (it has plumbing in place for a tub whenever the tub gets installed.)and put a chest freezer. It served us well for years and years and then one day we felt like we needed a pantry. Out to the enclosed back porck I also built went the chest freezer. I put one of those kitchen crome metal rack (80.00) fore a pantry. We then got a shower curtain ( remenber, this was a tubs space someday and I have the tub out back also)

I change my cars and truck oils and maintenances and tire rotations. I clean the backsides of those tires and rims when I have them off the vehicles with brakedust cleaner and white majic. Some scrubing with a longbrush handle is required but I Love doing that.
People will notice at anytime later on and ask....What year is this car??? 95.. Oh man , those wheels make it look alot newer. They're sooocleen, even on the inside, I can see the gloossy shine. I say, yea, I know, I cleaned them. How?... I took them off. You did? yes.

Just an afternoon thing to do. I'll fill the air pressures too.

And I'll go to Goodwill just about at the drop of a mention to go. I went this morning since it's been a few days. Saw cheap speaker stands but I have about 6 of that style now.

    Maybe tommorow..

Studying for some different things. Right now is some paralegal classes I'm taking.

Besides that I'm still young so drinking is a normal thing and bike riding. Working out also consumes a lot of my time and video games but find myself playing less and less as time goes on.

Wish I had more exciting things to do but thats what I look forward to when I get old. lol

i spend a good amount of time listening to music and tweeking my stereo...i go in waves of productivity in organizing my music collection (its around 1.5tb's now and its a never ending process and im really anal about the whole thing so i can only stay interested in it for about a week at a time)...i like to play music although i dont do it enough (i have an original '74 les paul custom among other instruments)....i like to stay in touch with friends over the internet through a good handful of message boards im active on and a few im not

but mostly, what i like to do in my spare time is go see live music...i see a lot of concerts all the time....there was a period of about 5 years where i went to over 100 concerts a year every year....im a little older now and dont put up quite those kind of numbers but i still spend most of my time looking forward to future concerts and talking about the live music scene with my fellow concert goers....i do a lot of travelling to see music and the friends that i have made from that scene.....i put one car in the ground due to this habit (i racked up over 160,000 miles in less than 5 years)...my current car is at almost 100,000 in 3 years, but some of that is work related......i pay attention to bands and where they play and what they play a lot like how people follow sports teams and their stats. keeping a pulse on the scene is pretty labor intensive but it allows you to catch trends and discover new things both technical and creative.
For sports i follow the Cincinnati Bengals, Reds, U of Cincinnati Bearcats and Purdue...and a little Ohio State but not much cause i went to purdue but im from cincy.

Amen to that bro, crap never ends that needs attention. A perpetual time and wallet sucker.

Old Dog, beautifull work their friend, feel like making me 3 bowls like those ? What would it costs ? Very nice, I don't have the patience for that kind of thing. Kids sucked that all out of me years ago.

Default Hit golf balls, see live music

    Great thread.

When I'm not playing golf, I like to go to these bluffs in Malibu to hit balls. We hit towards the water from here but could never reach Pacific Coast Highway or the water (below). Its awesome to see a drive sail down towards the water, it gives the illusion of a super long drive.

The guy in the hat with his back to the camera is my boss and owns 1300 acres right on the beach. We are planning an 18-hole, Tom Fazio course on the site.

I expect the bulldozers will be finding alot of golf balls when they get started!

Another friend of mine manages several bands so I get to see alot of free live music in Hollywood for something to do at night.

    Lovin' it.

I take my bike out to the track. This is me in July. If my bike gets out of the damn dealership in time (having some warranty work done), I'll be back at the track October 1
