some good sounding DVDs

Hello,
My wife and I watched some movies, recently, that had very good sound tracks. One was called "Rabbit Proof Fence" with a sound track done by Peter Gabriel, plenty of low bass.
The second is the re-mastered "The Great Train Robbery" with Sean Connery and Donald Sutherland, great orchestral spread and plenty of front-to-back depth.

I have to second Ken's recommendation of Rabbit Proof Fence. The story is quite interesting as well. Very entertaining.

Hi Steve,
I agree, the movie was pretty amazing. When you consider its based on real events and how far those children had to walk, its incredible. I commented, to my wife, that when I was that age I would have been lucky to walk to the end of the block, let alone what they did.
It's one of those movies that sticks in your brain long after it's over.

I found the soundtrack very effective in the movie and picked up the cd because I love Gabriel's work, and thought it would be interesting to listen to on its' own merit. I was surprised just how much of it really sounded unfamiliar when experienced without the visual. Still quite good just the same.

I agree, I'm a Gabriel fan myself. The Last Temptation of Christ soundtrack is a favorite. I think I look for the Rabbit Proof Fence soundtrack.
