Question Anybody try out the new Polk Audio headphones?

My current headphones are beat up. really beat up. they are a $50 pair of Sony earbuds. I've always bought these from Sony because they come with two cables, a short cable and a long cable. I use the short cable all the time because I always try to wear shirts with a pocket to store my iphone.

When walking in the city you want your headphone cable to be as short as possible so that it does not get caught by anybody else who is walking by. (this has happened to me, some jerk grabbed the long cable with his backpack and it ripped the earbud out of me ear and the rubber cushion flew into the street, So i either pound the guy in the back of his neck or run after the rubber cushion, I chose the latter and by the time I picked it up that jerk was gone)

So from that time on I used headphones with short cables and when i went to look for headphones only the Sony's had this short cable.

But now I've noticed that these new Polk Headphones have a short 14" cable.

I Just sold something on eBay for $300 and so I think I'm going to treat myself to a new pair.

I'd like the Black 3000's but I guess the White/Grey will work as well.

Have any of you tried these out yet?

    Thanks,

    Sal

I am working. I said i am working around 40 hours a month. at 40 hours a month I am clearing $4500 after taxes. With my wife's salary we are just getting by. My Mortgage is up to date, all my bills are up to date. If I don't find any work for the next 6 months I will have money to pay the bills.

With no work at all 7 months from now I will be screwed. So right now buying a pair of headphones for $99 is not going to send me out to the streets.

Plus i just sold something on ebay that I wasn't using. It sold for $300. So from yesterday to today i found $300.

I looked at the pics of your gear, assuming thats all your stuff, you look like your doing pretty darn good, add to that, if you only sold half that stuff, you would have a small fortune,,

It's been said twice now, but dropping money on headphones when you already have some that work, and you're worried about keeping your house because business is slow with the rough economy, shows that your priorities are completely ass backwards.

Post your life on the internet and it will get a response, good or bad.

If I'm having to cut back on stuff and make a thread on if i should sell my gear or not to keep my house, I wouldn't spend $100 on headphones when you can get a decent set for less than $15 that'll play music and stay in your ear.

'oh it's just $100 when i just found $300' is a lame ass excuse and is part of the reason why were in this ****ty economy now. I'll step off my soap box now.

I received the Ultra Fit 3000's today and at first I was very disappointed with the sound. There was no bass at all.

The trick was to try out all of the diaphragms until you find a pair that fit your ear perfectly.

The ones I used are the largest white round ones. Now the headphones sound awesome!!!

I was ready to return them.

The only thing additional I wish they had was a mic on the short cable.

The mic only comes on the long cable.

But other than that I am very happy. The little zippered case is really nice too.

    Thanks POLK!!

what happened to the neon green razor's you were going to buy? they wouldve matched your rolling NordicTrac and your wolf skin hat perfectly.
