How do you feel about purchasing gear used? Are you comfortable about using Audiogon or Ebay?
Right now, there are two incredible amps being offered in the Flea Market forum now - for great prices
An incredibly powerfull Carver amplifier
And a THX certified Parasound amplifier
Great stuff from what I've read - and worth heavy consideration. Either amp can power your RTi150's well..... very well.
Your RTi150's will suck up power, so its best to find some good amplifiers which will provide you with tons of clean current.
So many options at your disposal with that budget. You can get some very nice stuff for that price range..
Im sure the boys will chime in with names and model numbers for you to look at.

I bought my Parasound HCA-1500A (205 watts/rms) new for $795.00 on the web. I will say this--it runs HOT. It's full Class A opertaion to 25 watts, then AB. I bought the Actve Thermal "Cool-It" fan solution for my Parasound and works very well and integrates nicely with the amp.
Steve, you have a link to that fan?
yeah If you guys don't mind a shameless ad:
Those 150's would sound amazing if you bi-amped them with two Carver M-500t's.
500 watts a side, Think of the possibilities!
That is certainly a very true statement Ceruleance :)
