Rti A4 or Rti A6

I am looking to upgrade from a 3.1 to a 5.1 and eventually to a 7.1 system. It is a smaller room and I was planning on going with the Rti series. Space is a little bit of a issue, but if the Rti A6's are allot better than the A4's than I can make it work. I am just wanting to know if it is really worth my time to change everything to fit the larger speakers. Is the sound quality really that much better? any help would be greatly appreciated.

My current setup is:
Front: 2 Tsi 400
Center: Cs20
Sub: Klipsch 450

So - you are asking about upgrading just the center speaker to either the CSiA4 or the CSiA6 (not RTi4 vs RTi6)?

sorry about that. I got confused for a minute. im asking if the fxi a6's are really worth my extra time to make everything fit in my room or if they sound very similar and it isnt that big of a deal to go with the fxi a4's

If it is a small room, then you may want to make sure that you can even go to a 7.1 setup - meaning you need sufficient room *behind* your listening spot to correctly position rear surrounds. If your listening spot is up against the rear wall, then you probably would be better off just sticking with a 5.1 setup.

Also, just to stir the pot some more - have you thought about using the TSi100 or TSi200 for your 5.1 surrounds? You don't have to use a dipole/bipole FXiA4/A6. If your sweet spot for listening is small, then you may be able to use the TSi100 and still be completely satisifed, have surrounds that timbre match your fronts, and save some pocket change to buy movies and music!

I upgraded from the csia4 to the a6 and did notice a big difference. With an external amp, it is much larger sound stage. In fact if i'm just watching a tv show rather than a movie or series mixed in 5.1, I will only turn on my rears, center and sub and it sounds fine.
