Cut from the original analog masters by Doug Sax, with the exception of The Doors, which was made from the best tape copy. Sax and Doors producer/engineer Bruce Botnick are going through a meticulous setup to guarantee a positively stunning reissue series.
This is an all-tubes process. These masters were recorded on tube equipment, and the tape machine used for the transfer of these releases is a tube machine, as is the cutting system. Tubes, baby! A truly authentic reissue project.

Thanks for posting this Jesse. I love the fact that they are being mastered on all tube equipment. I will be playing them on (almost) all tube equipment as well.

Look for a Oppo DV980h, 970H or 981H. They go for less than $150 and do a great job. They'll play anything except a HD DVD or BD disc. It's a DVD player, but I use my almost exclusively for audio. BTW, a SACD-only player (like Sony) will not play DVD-A discs....which disqualify them for my needs.My DIY HT
