Default Can this be done, and is it worth it?

I've got my L/R speakers hooked up to my amp. The amp is RCA connected to my AVRs pre-outs. My speakers are Monitor 70 series II. Can I still run wire from my AVRs L/R terminals and have them hooked up to the speakers as well, removing the jumpers of course.

If you are running the signal out to your amp, it's not running in to your AVR and its internal amp.

What Zingo said.....plus your speakers are very easy to drive, you have more than enough juice going to them. If you feel something lacking, look elsewhere or maybe time for an upgrade.

Thanks fellas, upgrade is exactly what I've had in mind for awhile now anyway. I've been eyeing a pair of RTi12's and thoughts of moving the 70's back to surround duty.

I would sell the m70's and get a pair of fxi's. They are awesome surround speakers and would be voice matched to the RTI 12's.

5s or 50s or does it matter?
