    Default possible computer infection

    Ad-aware found win32.pup.bandoo(800). All my others found nothing. Is this something I should be concerned with and how do I remove it?

    Just quarantine it using Ad-Aware. If it is a false positive, you lose nothing. If it is a valid catch, you'll be safe.

    I have it too. just about 3 weeks ago... When I search or click a thread on here on this site, crap from Atlanta employment or Charlotte or Raleigh something...Real estate search sites etc...

    It seems to happen here more than any other time.
    Most people just listen to music and watch movies . I am glad to be a part of a select group that tries to take our auditory and visual senses to a higher level: we EXPERIENCE them.... GOT SDA?...GOT SUNFIRE? ...GOT Maggies?

    Have you scanned with Malware Bytes? I gave up on Ad-Aware a few years ago..

    Just finished up working on a machine that had a nasty rootkit. Had no choice but to reload, as none of the half-dozen programs I use could dig it out.

    Malaware had nothing the same with ms security essentials. Ad aware won't let me quarantine it.

    Boot into Safe Mode and run Malwarebytes and Ad-Aware again. You can't quarantine the file in your normal Windows environment because the file is currently in use. Safe mode (F9 right after BIOS and just before the Windows logo comes up) will take care of that.
