Default from MP3 to audio CD. quality restored?

we know that an original CD is more superior to compressed files in terms of quality.
my question is, if i were to convert an mp3 or wma to an audio CD, would the quality of the file be restored too? since the source file is already compressed.
    thank you.

No, once the information is lost by lossy compression there is no way to "magically" add it back.

"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass

One way to start a collection is to go to the library and checkout the ones you are interested in. I found some great CD's that way.

The Alpine head unit (CDA-9813) that I had in my previous ride had what I called the "Magic" button that they called "MediaXpander" which made a good attempt at restoring compressed music. It had 3 settings and, while not perfect, you could find a setting that made even highly compressed music sound surprisingly good. Ahhh the wonder of DSP!
