lol.... you've got to be ****tin' me...

Powering and protecting each piece of equipment individually is the right thing to do if economic circumstances allow.
    Machined feet provide vibration reduction
It is well known that vibrations caused by your loudspeakers can degrade the ultimate sonic performance of equipment. This is because the internal electronics of all equipment are slightly microphonic, meaning they act like microphones and amplify the vibrations. While this phenomena is very slight in power equipment, it is still a factor that should be dealt with.
Pricing for the UXC is based on a per cable, terminated price:
    2 meter* length - list price $1195
    3 meter* length - list price $1395

Thanks for the link. I was thinking of buying some LSi9's and a pair of nice stands, but with about that same amount of money, I can buy 2 meters of UXC and get my Technics to rock all over the LSi setup!

    Two Channel Setup:

    Speakers: Wharfedale Opus 2-3
    Integrated Amp: Jolida JD1502
    DAC: Arcam irDac
    Source: iMac
    Remote Control: iPad Mini

    3.2 Home Theater Setup:

    Fronts: Polk LSiM 703s
    Center: Polk LSiM 703
    Subs: SVS PB 12 NSD X 2
    AVR: Yamaha Aventage RX-A2030
    Blu Ray: Sony BDP-S790
    TV Source: DirecTV Genie

I would have to say that is PS Audio finally lowering themselves into the ultra-BS category of interconnects.

At these prices, what can I say? Jesse, if you get one, let us know how it sounds, would be interesting to pair it with your 777ES. Personally, I would not have the luxury to own this for a long time (...not 'till all my gears carry the ML logo :) )
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I've already got a 2m Statement power cord on the XA777ES. Does it make a difference, yes it does. I don't think the UXC is a crazy idea, like they say in the ad, two Statement PC's and a UO would cost more than the UXC. The UXC provides MUCH better surge protection than anything from Monster or any other surge protection device which use MOV's. I would use the UXC on my amp as it would the piece of gear more likely to suffer from a surge/spike.

Doro, did you mean power cord?

My apologies Bud... Not what I would spend on, but may have rained a little too hard on your parade...

Jeez, talk about audio voodoo / doodoo!!! Probably built for the eccentrics that have a 60K 2ch rig - and want to get their $1200 a pop tweak on...

Before I bought that, I'd just hard-wire my amp/pre what have you STRAIGHT to the dedicated circuit in the wall. Why even use a connector / cord?

I will give it one thing though, sure does look cool.

I've got plenty of 'boutique' cables... and would like to think I have at least a *basic* understanding of cost vs benefit. (holding close the law of diminishing returns)

I'm all over a $50-$200 cable upgrade, sure. $1200? In my scenarios (2ch rigs), I'd better benefit by putting that money towards the back end, sources, amps, etc. There is no way a $1200 power cable is going to provide a better cost to benefit ratio to my 'amp' vs buying a *better* amp altogether.

Lets just chalk this one up to is it worth that last 1% of refinement/detail... Some yes, some no. Fair enough?

    Cheers,

Yes, I like the power cord upgrade....just that thing is ridiculous.

Until PS Audio makes a power conditioner(s)/surge arrestor(s) that is in the $50-800 range....Monster Cable and the like will keep getting the millions. Yea, you could buy a Juice Bar and a Ultimate Outlet....its only $500, bah!

I don't think they should make something that cheap...but hey, give me a break and drop the 4.7 Power Director into the <$800 range for damn's sake. Or make a smaller version sheesh.

    Fair enough.

I am looking at this cable not only for a power cord upgrade, which I intended on doing anyway, but for it's fool proof surge protection ability.

Also behooves us (or at least me) that you're focused on optimizing one, 2 ch rig rather than three plus an HT plus collecting vintage plus....

Then again, you did succumb to the allure of the CA's... :D

Actually now that I think about it F1, perhaps it would be ideal for you. The 2CH setup you have now is minimal, and thus needs just some basic surge protection....why not have the best. If you get the Bryston's tho', you short a couple plugs....I guess it depends on what the future holds for the 2CH.
