All-Clad is good cookware. I use the 5-ply version. Use bar Keepers Friend to clean it and a nylon scouring pad.

I use All Clad and Calphalon. All Clad is great because you can scrub it, toss it in the oven, let stuff crust to the bottom and it doesn't matter at all. The Calphalon stuff isn't nearly as durable, but also wasn't nearly as expensive. There's a Calphalon outlet around here so I bought $500 worth of pots/pans for $100 because they had a scratch/ding or some irregularity in the finish. Most of the problems they come with are something you'd end up doing from regular use anyway. And now when I scratch my $30 pan I don't feel nearly as bad as if I scratched the same pan but had paid $200 for it. All Clad also has a seconds outlet but it's in NJ I think so not close enough for me to go and pick stuff up. I think they do ship but they it's a crap shoot, who knows what irregularity you might end up with. All Clad also makes the Emril line of cookware that's often hanging out in TJ Maxx or Mashalls/Home Goods. Those pans are decent and usually cheap.

I have Royal Queen Cookware that is very similar to the 5ply All Clad. Love it stuff cooks even and they look good too.

I'm primarily a cast iron guy. I have pots, pans, griddles, etc for about every situation. They are easy to clean and maintain, don't have bad chemicals, are great to cook with and you can get them cheap to free.

I have aluminum with copper bottoms for stuff like light sauces and heating water for boiling seafood, making noodles, or making tea. I have a steel wok that is a great all around piece that gets used as much as anything else in the kitchen.

Real men cook with cast iron cookware and have their pie baked for them.

If I could/would bake pies or make desserts, I'd be fat. I do entree's, my wife does breakfast and appetizers, and we both fetch beer for each other.

About the only thing I bake is cornbread or fish, otherwise it's roasting, broiling, stovetop cooking, and grilling.
