SL6502 vs. SL5006e

Anyone know the differences in these? They appear to have the same bracket. I THINK the 6502 is 6 ohm vs. the 5006 being 8 ohm. I know they won't be voiced the same, but are the tweeters interchangeable? I don't want to have to use the 5006, but it'd be nice to know if it could be used as a backup plan or not.

I wouldn't advise it. The difference in OHM's would wreak havoc on the crossover points. It could muffle the high's somewhat.

I believe the SL6511 is the replacement for your SL6502.

There are several variants from what I've seen, but there aren't any available. Hopefully I'll be picking some up some speakers w/ correct tweeters next weekend, so we will see what happens there.

If you call Polk they will tell you what you can use and if they stock a replacement. They are very good about that.

Already have several times. Depending on who you talk to, the answers range from an unknown ETA on when they will get replacements to unexpected to ever stock again.
