well after 3 mo. and many questions I've finished the total recapping of my Sony X33es CD player. For the most part this player was built around the Elna Duorex II caps. Every cap on the board was Elna except 2 and One of those was replaced 5yrs ago when a 5v Duorex II cap puked. I have done some XO work on 2pr of SDA's but nothing like this. I had to get under the enamel of the PCB to clean plus rebuild one trace that was ate up by those DII's that had puked. I was told by many techs that the DII's were some of the most corrosive caps they had ever come across. The caps I put in were Elna silmic II's and 4 Nichicon fine gold for the values that Elna did not make.

I must thank Jesse(F1nut) and Brock(Heiney9) you guys have helped answer many questions and if you couldn't pointed me in the right direction Fred(FGTV) I think sorry Fred if i messed up your screen name.

I'll understand if I don't get full club membership because I forgot to take before or after pictures until it was all buttomed up. I was just too excited to see if it even worked. It did and from right off the bat even the wife was impressed with the sound.

IT sounds SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!! of course I'm very bias I'm not to sure if it will sound better in a few weeks or not. I'm very happy with those Elna's I seem to be hearing everything better but to be honest it's got like 1.5hrs on it. Right now it's on repeat for the next three days.
