Thank you. At Polkfest, I'm looking forward to connecting some faces to the handles on this Forum. I've found many posts to be very helpful. I'm grateful for all the work others have done and shared readily to help those of us who want to improve our vintage Polks without having to start from scratch. Some, like me, may be pretty good at following instructions, but do not have the technical expertise to do the mods on our own. See you on Friday, I hope!

Just wanted to say hi! I'm Mike's (BigDawg around here) son. It'll be my first time at Polkfest and I'm quite excited for it! If anyone will still be around on Sunday, coincidentally, the group I am a FOH engineer for called the RockNRoll Chorus will be performing at the Hard Rock in the Inner Harbor. It's a one-off date (we're actually from New Jersey) and the timing couldn't have been better in facilitating my ability to go to Polkfest.

Psyched to see HQ and everyone else!

I apologize in advance and you will never be the same after one of these.....physically or mentally. It's a horrifying experience. Especially if Jstas is in Zombie projectile vomiting mode again....it was very close to the movie 21 Days.

Alright, I'm getting jazzed....I'll be blowing into town early afternoonish on Thurs. I've got a couple handles of Beam, a bottle of Goslings, A gallon of Korean Soju, some vaseline and a box of bandaids. I think I've got everything I need.

You forgot that blood clotting stuff they give out for combat Troy.....we'll need a LOT of them. I'm going to be providing IV's of Saline for anyone not able to hang with the old timers. A Gallon of Soju??!! You better keep Al away from that or I'll have to walk him into reality again.

John, Don't be a biatch.....just bring your ass down here and enjoy yourself....good gracious you fool.

I'm out, had to cancel the Hotel Res. today. Really not happy about this one; wife off to Chicago again, aging parents etc. And unlike a lot of the chorus above, I've got a teenage daughter I have to parent (it's amazing just how many of the main guys here are either "empty nesters" or don't have any kids?). I know you'll all have a great time and won't even notice yours truly is not there. Just kidding!

    Have a great time!

Thanks! It's an acapella rock group. We do everything from Seperate Ways - Journey, Home Sweet Home - Motley Crue, and Livin' on a Prayer - Bon Jovi to a mashup of Free Ride - Edgar Winter & Long Train Runnin' - Doobie Brothers with some current pop/rock stuff thrown in too. Very cool. Here's a link to a free download from out new album from our site: http://rocknrollchorus.com/freedownload

EDIT: Definitely didn't mean to turn into a giant billboard... Sorry! haha

I have been really wanting to make it to Polkfest for years. I thought this might be the year but a friend form the west coast is coming into town for his 50th reunion at the Naval Academy.

I'll try to make it if I can.

Maybe your friend would enjoy Polkfest more than his 50th reunion?

I know: Not on a bet!

The training class I was supposed to be in this week got rescheduled for next month, so i'll be at the HQ Fest on Friday (and Saturday). I'm open for dinner Thursday and Friday nights if anyone wants to catch up.
